Hello everyone, and thank you so much for allowing me to join you as i have thus far. I apologize for the delay in introducing myself, but that is what i plan on doing here tonight.
I was born in Kala'uun, one of the many twilight cities of my homeworld, Ryloth. Growing up on Ryloth is quite the experience, let me tell you. As the orbit of the planet is quite irregular, Ryloth spins on its axis at the exact speed that it rotates around its sun. This leaves one side of the planet constantly scorching in the brutal Ryloth sun, while the other side is eternally pitched in the frigid darkness. Although some cities on the dark side of the planet survive due to massive heat storms moving on them from the scorched side, most cities are located on the day/night border where the temperature is somewhat bearable. This cities are located underground however. The enourmous mountains and incredible high-speed winds on the surface make dwelling there impossible. The harsh climate of the world has led to a people prone to a criminal way of life.
The people of Ryloth are ruled by head-clans, one for each city. Each clan contains five head leaders, which control different aspects of their cities. Without putting you to sleep with the dry details of their politics, the main point you need to know is that many of them are in a power struggle to control the most amount of Ryll.
Ryll is a spice mined on Ryloth, extremely addictive and leading to a "release of the mind" as many worthless addicts have described it. These mines are run by "workers", or slaves as they should be called, of head-clans and slave traders present on the planet. It is then refined into the purest of forms and sold to make a huge amount of profit for these lying, cheating people who call themselves businessman. The other form of income on Ryloth is the slave trade. Although I am ashamed to say it, my people, with the help of off-world slave traders, sell their own kind into slavery on a regular basis. This is just the way of things on Ryloth. If you haven't already picked it up, I am and always have been disgusted with this type of living on my planet.
This disgust led me to some of the more.......noble jobs, if you will....on Ryloth. I was raised on the outskirts of Kala'uun, near the farms that grow a fungus which is our main source of food. These farms also had Rycrit, an animal which we bred and raised as another source of food. Unlike most of my clan-mates, my first job was not in any illegal business. I learned how to handle and control the Rycrit. Leading them to grazing areas, getting them to not fight each other, making sure a new amount of Rycrit were born each year, these all became essential tasks to my job. When I grew older, I was even tought how to harvest and store the meat from them. This job quickly became easy for me, however, so I started to seek a more complicated profession in this area. I had heard of cloners before, but I never thought that i would become one myself. I searched remote parts of the caverns to our cities and came quite close to the surface of the planet many times, looking for new creatures that I could study. I came across many exciting things, but I knew that the real adventure lie off Ryloth. I talked with a very close friend of mine, one of the few smugglers I had ever met and liked, Aralli. He told me that he was traveling to a moon of Naboo to make a deal on some spider silk he needed, and thought that the spiders who create it might interest me. He knew of my ability with the Rycrits, and had told his contact there that I might be able to help with the deaths of many Wookie workers by calming the spiders. I figured anything had to be more exciting than drudging through the caves for all eternity, so we put a few credits in the right places and left Ryloth from one of the very few starports there. We arrived on the moon, and though I had some trouble adapting to the use of my mouth and vocal cords (rather than my headtails) as the main form of communication, I was excited to be there. At the first sight of the spiders, I was amazed at how different it was from anything I had seen before. Maybe in my comfort with passive creatures for so long I provoked it, or maybe it was the fact that the creature is just naturally hostile, but as Aralli was making his business dealings, on of the spiders showed up out of nowhere and slammed me against the cave wall, completely knocking me out. I didn't get to see it, but from what Aralli told me a group of slaves banded together and took the creature out with just picks and shovels. When I met the Wookie who brought them together, Chalrhynn, I was amazed. I guess Aralli was too because he bought Chalrhynn and we went to Dantooine, not as slave and masters, but as companions. When we arrived, Aralli got what he needed and headed back to Ryloth. I decided to stay because of the huge amount of diversity in the creatures here. I told Chalrhynn not to go to Ryloth because I was pretty sure he didn't want to be near one of the largest slave trades in the galaxy. Chalrhynn and I became friends, and I have been studying as much about creating and controlling creatures as I can since then. Chalrhynn has been advancing all of Ryyk blade skills, and together we have survived on Dantooine.
My final word will be about why I am loyal to the Empire. I Strongly support their anti-spice policies. I would be happy to see Ryll disappear from the entire galaxy as it has from so many systems already. As with Chalrhynn, I like how they are bringing order to the galaxy, and I am very impressed with their system of Rulers. After seeing so many conflicts between leaders on my home planet, it is nice to see some who actually know what they are doing. And although I know the Empire uses slavery, it is not enough to deter me from all the great things the Empire has planned. I will stay Loyal to the Empire. Once again, I am honored to be able to share this with everyone and I thank you for listening. I will do everything I can to help anybody who needs it, so if I may be of service, please ask.
