how impressed is everyone with Player Cities and how important do you think they are?
Should the home of our guild be in one? Are the NPC Cities more beneficial?

eh... I'm really starting to think they aren't all that important now since we can't defend them using the Militia features originally designed for them.
Other than that they are starting to seem just like another source of mission terminals but with bad commerce.
Of course... running a city would be beneficial. Great financial rewards can be reaped from those taxes...

With talking to other people about citys and the Citys I have visited I have come to this conclusion. 1. There is never anyone thier. 2. Stock levels are usually low in thier citys. 3. Mission Terminals are nice, but you need people there to use them. 4. Taxes are high on property and on selling Items like paying an extra 100 creds to use the Mos Vegas Shuttle Port. 5. Then you got rebel raides but that can be fun, if you city is ready for it, other wise it is just a constant pounding from them. My oppion now this subject is to stay where we are and if we get enough people and we still what to start a new city then do so. Shayla

heheh, actually the shuttle port at Vegas is now 500 credits extra. what a pain in the tuckus.
one thing i did notice about Vegas: its a "Reseach City" wonder what bonus that provides...
not all cities have a sales tax or income tax or property tax. for instance Vegas has 0% for income. We should just start our own town. I don't care where it is, i'll move there.

Player citys are only a force when they have a shuttle port.
I too vote we wait for us to get our own little piece of heaven.. Personally from just looking at the chaotic city planning done in most city it makes me ticky thinking about living there.
What ever happened to streets? City squares? industrial zones? heh I can ramble on for hours.

I know exactly what you mean! Some look like they started off with some sort of scheme... then the buildings started to go where ever. Streets, yes! Civic buildings all together with a little town square in the middle with a perty fountain, yes! People get the chance to design something glorious and they zone and place buildings like crapola. here's a little thought / fantasy of mine about a small part of the future town placement for a few of its buildings: Since it will be an imperial town, first off, as a must, the shuttle port exit should be facing 3 imperial outposts with (6) turrets / putting the 4 buildings in a cross formation with a little plaza area in the center in which they all face. Any overt rebels get off a shuttle... BLAM, dead. To attack the town, at least they'll have to travel a long distance to do it, because shuttle travel will be difficult if that's the situation. sigh... yup, i'm a dreamer oh (edit) nevermind... *kicks the dirt in frustration* forgot, i think you are covert for about 30 seconds after getting of a shuttle

but will that supercede the 30 second safe transport timer that was installed a few patches ago?
i think that may yet be unproven

heheh yup, guess so.
damn, makes me want to have a politician. perhaps if i ever get my FS slot (ya, right) i'll make Aja a Politician / Artisan or Politician / Entertainer (hey, don't laugh, Arnie's a governor... Regan...some whacky dude in Minnesota) or perhaps a Politician / Doctor.
hmmm, this brings up another thought... (new post coming)
