Well, it was pretty productive considering Vhal and Arl weren’t there. The main things decided were:
#1: We are not part of Blade Empire in anyway, shape or form.
I hope people understand that we are not against Blade Empire; we simply are not part of Blade Empire.
#2: We standardized the recruitment process a bit more. (Don’t worry Khamax, this is more semantic than anything else. You still have command of Recruitment). The biggest change or addition was the introduction of the Mentorship program.
The recruitment process was broken down into four phases:
~ Application Phase
~ Trial Phase
~ Recruit Phase
~ Member Phase
The Application Phase is where the new recruit reads through the rules, and fills out the application, and meets with our guild in-game (if applicable). The Application Phase begins when the recruit approaches our guild and ends when he submits his application.
~ Once the application in received, the recruit should get a PM and an e-mail with our ‘Application Received’ form letter. Khamax, I’ll need you to get a rough draft of this ASAP.
The Trial Phase is the maximum three days of time in which we are scrutinizing the application and evaluating the new recruits posts and in-game actions. (For guilds not already in a game, this is two-weeks of time.)
~ Once the application has been approved or denied, the recruit should get a PM and an e-mail with our ‘Application Approved’ or ‘Application Denied’ form letter. Khamax, I’ll need you to get a rough draft of this ASAP.
~ The Application Denied letter is to explain why the applicant was denied.
The Recruit Phase is the 30 to 90 days the recruit must spend as a Recruit before being voted into the guild. At this point the recruit is no longer the responsibility of the Recruitment Division, but is now moved to the Mentorship Division.
~ The Mentorship Division is responsible for ensuring the new recruit knows and understands what we as a guild are about - our rules, our standards, our expectations, and generally how we operate. A mentor isn’t one single person. Rather it is a group of people, anyone of which is there to help the new recruit.
~ Do we want to create a SrO position for Mentorship or do we want to make it a JrO position under either Recruiting or Internal Relations?
After 30 days, the recruit can ask for his ‘Vote of Entrance’. If accepted, the recruit becomes a Full Members and enters the Member Phase. (The Member Phase is a fancy way of saying that he is no longer a Recruit). Upon the determination of the vote, the recruit should get a PM and an e-mail with our ‘Membership Approved’ or ‘Membership Denied’ form letter. Khamax, I’ll need you to get a rough draft of this ASAP.
~ The Membership Denied letter is to explain why the applicant was denied and explain what options are open to him/her. (i.e. Wait 14 more days, if applicable)
#3: It was agreed that throughout the entire Legion of Myth (MMO) that GL, XO and 2O should not micromanage or have any direct responsibility. This will better lend them able to look over the guild as a whole. (Basically, this just confirms what I typed up for us.)
#4: At the end there was some talk about making an overall Lore that covers every LoM guild.
I asked Nafzib to talk to Rooks about this as Rooks is the one typing up our Lore. For the record, I am leery of an overall, singular Lore. I think it can only handicap the individual guilds. However, I said I’d be open to the idea - at least until I see it. Rooks, I’ll let you handle this. Let me know if you need anything from me.
Okay, that’s it for now.
