Just FYI, I'm taking discussion on the name of our endeavor.
Alrighty, The new vendor is placed (1) The vendor is currently placed due east of the guildhall about 20 paces or so because it turns out that’s as close as I could get to the outpost.
Now, on to the good stuff. If everyone whom wishes to use the services of this vendor (and the other vendors I'll place as I gain the skills) please respond with what skills you plan to have / currently have so I can start researching the prices on our server. (2)
The standard for selling an item is going to be consignment. Offer the items you want sold on the vendor for 1cr. When the item sells I'll send you the sale amount -5% (3)
Should you see an item on the vendor you require for personal use (4), feel free to purchase the item, in such an event I will send the cost of production to the seller, and the profit to the buyer, unless otherwise noted. (5)
I am searching for a few of the more in demand items (i.e. any holocrons, Force crystals, Good Drop armor/loot) you have been looking to sell.
Starting Thursday 1/22 I will put a push on the server trade forum, putting any force crystals up for auction (6) and listing the other items that just HAPPEN to be on our vendor, the auction will run until Saturday 1/24
Should anyone wish to hunt up some nice stuff to sell, or start a production run or two of any item, this weekend would be a good time to start
Well, there's my proposal, any problems / comments?
----------------------------------------------------------------
(1) I suffered the "Failed to initialize" bug while placing it; I hope the server reset fixed the issue
(2) As the crafters know, prices vary greatly from server to server, so we can't just go to the smuggler forum and ask how much XX is worth.
(3) It turns out it's just easier to do a straight percentage on most items. Currently I will hold 0.1% to help pay merchant fees and 4.9% will go into the guild fund.
(4) Lets not abuse the company store
(5) I strongly suggest anyone that wants a large quantity of "Nutmeg" contact a guild spice dealer directly so that we don't go shooting ourselves in the foot by never having anything on the vendor
(6) Force crystals are great for vendor advertising. Only Force sensitive characters can see the stats I'm told, and they will have to travel to our vendor to see them (of course I'll list the crystals at something like 99mil so no one walks off with them.
