I hate to use the word mandatory when talking about a game, so I won’t. But I put that little ‘hint’ there so you can see the seriousness and importance of training.
Now I’m sure a lot of you want to hunt, act, and play the game in the manner you choose. For the most part, this is both acceptable and encouraged. However, it is incumbent upon us to become versed in combat as a team. I’m pretty confident that we can all solo well enough, but soloing will only get you so far ... and most likely killed in PvP (unless you are a doctor buffed Bounty Hunter).
Again, I will not use the words mandatory or required, but I will say that I ‘encourage’ you to schedule a time to meet up with LtCol Kodoss for three hours of training. These three hours can all be at one time or broken down into multiple sessions as convenient – some people don’t have three hours at a time to spare. But a total of three hours is what will be required to be ‘certified’.
I know LtCol Kodoss wants to do more in this game than train, he has harvesters to check, items to grind, and so forth. I also know that you all have things you wish to do as well, so there is no need to try and get this done today. Like I said, work with LtCol Kodoss to schedule a time and place to meet with him for the training. Since there are only 6 of us at the moment, please try and accomplish this within the next three weeks ... if possible. (I know the Holiday Season is upon us.)
Training Phase 1: Partner Dynamics: This is where LtCol Kodoss and one other individual hunt as a pair. The use of pets/critters/droids will be determined by LtCol Kodoss. Although, I suggest that at least for the first hour there are no pets involved on the part of the trainee ... but this is for LtCol Kodoss to determine.
When LtCol Kodoss has completed his 3-hours of training with you AND if he feels that you are competent, then he will certify you. I’m not sure exactly what you’ll get, but there will be some sort of a ‘white mark’, and/or citation, and/or ribbon for certification.
Lastly, this does not mean that Artisans get the shaft. Just because you don’t take combat skills doesn’t mean that you can’t be certified. This training is to make you knowledgeable in group dynamics (i.e. pulling techniques, HAM management, agrro avoidance, patience, proper assisting, etc), not to see who can do the most damage and clear a spawn the fastest.
General Callandryn: NOT CERTIFIED
Colonel Kedryn: NOT CERTIFIED
Lieutenant Colonel Kodoss: Certified – Trainer
