The LoM web page has been updated. Please take a look at it and point out any problems that you see. Once this has been given the blessing of the House of Scions, I'll be turning my attention to our SWG web page. Oh, I have some ideas that I am scribbling up for our SWG page, too ... I think you'll like it even more than the LoM main page. I would like to mention that Turin, Khamax, Kodoss and Azurewyrm you all need SBUs. Please: - Create one on your own using our PhotoShop template HERE... - Send me the link to picture that you'd like as your personal image ... - Or send me your race/class and I'll do my best to make you one on my own.

Callandryn , just wanted to make a note on the SBU. Since the Empire IS the ruling force in the SW Universe do you think "The last Bastion of Hope for Humankind" is a quote that fits ? At this point there is no need to be concerned about Humankind , since their iron grip spans more than half of the known SW Universe ;D
Ok the Webpage looks neat, but i dont like the font for the Header . Also the Dragon in the round button looks like it was painted from a 6 year old heh.

Okay I'll address these in order ...
Please feel free to have your own saying. That quote on my SBU is my quote, not one required for the guild. Each character should have his own.
The font ... well ... to each their own. ;D My mission was to stay away from the Morpheus font. hehe If more people don't like it I'll play around with it some.
The dragon was a tough one.
My mission was to find a logo that would span the ages and represent LoM being in many MMOs. At first I looked for a Hydra. But there was nothing worth a damn and even less that I could use for us. Then I looked for an Octopus. If you have ever played the RPG TMNT After the Bomb, in the Road Hogs book there is a squid or octopus or something - I don't have those books in Kuwait - that was the perfect basis for what I was looking for. Alas, I couldn't find shit on an octopus that would work.
Finally I decided to go with a dragon. No mater the era/genre of game you play there are always dragons ... as monsters, as an Asian cult, whatever. And I KNEW that I could find art on dragons. My one goal being to avoid Elmore or anything that people would immediately recognize. So, I downloaded about 50 dragons from epilogue.net.
Now mind you, when creating a logo you don't want it too detailed. The problem with damn near all the dragons is that they were too detailed and I didn't have the time to go in and edit them ... some would have been full day jobs. In the interest of time and sanity, I used the one that I had to edit the least yet still provided some atmosphere.
I want to make clear that at the moment, that dragon is not 'official'. Hell, the entire logo isn't official. It is simply what I put up there and no one has complained (until now ... hehe). I just took a couple of circles and threw a dragon in it.
What 'I' wanted to have was:
- Background: LOM in bold artistic letters in the background. Not cartoonish, but rather a logoesque bold. - Foreground: The silhouette of a ... Griffon or Pegasus. Just a silhouette, nothing more. - Then underneath it all it would say, Legion of Myth in Arial or Verdana.
But I did not hove the time to put all that together. So, I put out a rough draft. fixed the things people complained about and moved on. Maybe I can draw up what I'm looking for today at work and scan it in and mess with it.
From the WoW boards the other day:
So, did I take short cuts along the way? In the interest of simply getting something up, yes. All along I have asked people what they thought etc. If I saw them on the message boards that day and there was no reply, I moved ahead. Considering that at the time SWG was right around the corner, we didn't have time to waste to get something up.
So, in short ... - The web page is up and the information is out there. (Although from work here the pages are still coming up as the OLD pages ... hmmmm ... I'll look into that). Therefore my main objective is complete.
- As for tweaking the font, the motto and the logo, it will be done in due time. For now, I wish to spend my time scribbling up the SWG site. I have something different in mind for it that I hope you all will enjoy.

I for one like the dragon logo. It is simple and not that cartoony. If it was a more realistic picture I don't think it would look enough like a logo.
Actually that was one of the things I really liked about the site.
Also, remember that the web site is dynamic. The biggest thing is that we got one up and that it looks awesome. We can always work on the bells and whistles later.
