8 Simple Rules...For Gaining Imperial Faction Points
By: Cukamo_19
1. Create a character entirely devoted to gaining Imperial Faction Points. Consider all professions a “side thing”. I find that having this unique point of view truly helps me in my quest to become an Imperial aficionado.
2. Start your character in Mos Espa, Tatooine. Travel a few hundred meters to the Imperial Oasis (-5316, 2662), and spend a few days there just doing Imperial missions. These missions spawn extremely close to base, and take a short time to get there (especially if you are a scout and don’t suffer a speed decrement when traveling up hills). This is also a great place for farming (not moisture, mind you). Also, be sure not to leave here until you AT LEAST have joined the Imperial faction.
3. When you are ready, catch a shuttle to Moenia, Naboo. From there, travel the short distance to the Emperor’s Retreat (2400, -3900), and do the quests for Kaja Or’Zee, who is located in the corridor leading to the main hall (right inside the door). After completing her missions, you gain access to the main hall and the other six NPCs (which include Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine). Also, be sure to acquire two Imperial missions from the mission terminals in the main hall that are located in the same direction as your static mission every time, so you can get a ton of extra FP! If you do the Emperor’s Retreat, not only will you greatly increase your FP count, but you will also meet key Star Wars villains and have fun doing so!
4. After you are finished the Emperor’s Retreat (which may take a while; don’t feel you have to do it all at on the first try), head over to Dantooine and visit the Warren. You can find a strategy guide to this theme park over at SWGCenter.com, which has proved EXTREMELY useful for me. If you are not yet skilled in combat, perform a radial search of the area around you for fellow Imperials, and ask them to assist you (you can also label yourself LFG). Follow the guide found on SWGCenter.com, and you will not only gain two badges, but hundreds of Imperial FP!
5. Be absolutely positive to involve yourself in the monthly story arcs! This is critical! You get a lot of FP this way, and also a brand…new…shiny…BADGE!
6. Hold off on spending your faction points for ANYTHING unless it’s for an AT-ST. Maybe a few privates (lol) or a couple stormtroopers would be okay, but don’t go overboard. Although, they just end up getting killed anyway, making the FP you spent for them a total waste. Oh! And don’t accept a promotion until you are at the max FP allowed for your rank. Accepting a promotion too early would simply be stupid.
7. If you have a ton of credits and are in an extremely populated area filled with Imperial players, you could always yell, “Seeking to purchase Imperial FP! Send /tell if interested!” Hasn’t worked for me yet, but it might for you.
8. Once you have enough FP to purchase an AT-ST, do so immediately. Then, you can spend the rest of your SWG life killing Rebels and looking for Jedi holocrons with ease.
