I know what I like, However what I don't care about, only want good results on is hunting. Should I take my weapon of choice (looks like carb) and the support line of Marksman to IV, or Carb to IV for carb and only go up carbineer one or two steps. Most bang for my points I guess is what I'm after

Well after reading the official forums and basing things on my own observations and opinions, here is what I believe is the mist bang/buck ...
... If you wish to stay in the marksman field, I perfer Carbine. Pistol and Rifle have their place (and Kodoss may disagree with me), but I felt that Carbine IV did me more good than either Rifle or Pistol IV.
... however ...
... If you are going to jump up into the Carbiner, Pistoleer, or Rifleman progression, I'd say go Pistoleer. From what I have read so far, Pistoleers have the best specials with Stopping Aim and Pistol Whip. With a good pistol you can do 500+ points of damage every second. (And that's in PvP ... that means 1500+ per second PvE). I haven't seen it yet myself, but that's what I gather from the official boards so far.

I would disagree with you also. I only have Rifle III and I do 1300+ to the mind every time I use Head shot II. Shayla

As Kodoss made me do, check out Here and make your own 'informed' decision. Take the time to thoroughly read on all four of the following: Marksman, Carbineer, Pistoleer, and Rifleman. Each one has its strengths and weaknesses. Hehe, rifleman ... shakes his head

I'd Appreciate comments on this, my prefered skillset.
Artisan Master
Marksman 0 4 0 0
Scout 0 0 4 0
Architect 0 0 4 0
Pistoler 2 0 3 1
And this leaves me enough to master one craft (thinking Droid Engineer)
I'm fairly happy with the craft portion, any comments are still welcome, but the combat I'm light one

Looks good to me ... I think you did the right thing with the Pistoleer Skill Tree. It's great to have a plan but don't feel bad if you have to change it. I for one have gone from Squad Leader, to Pistoleer, to Combat Medic, to Commando ... and I STILL don't exactly know what I want to be. Talk to Kodoss about Mastering Droid Engineer ... he had to take that profession on for a while. hehe

If you have questions about Tailoring I did that for a bit and found it slow. Shayla
